Abstract

This research aims to improve/increase the quality of learning practices in Fifth Grade. The subjects were all Fifth Grade students at SD Inpres 12/79 Seberang, totaling 16 people. The design was carried out in two cycles, each cycle going through planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The data analysis technique used is qualitative. The results show that the process of implementing the Predict Observe Explanation learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes. This is proven by the results of the teacher and student observation format with an increase in classification from adequate (C) in cycle I to good (B) in cycle II. Social studies learning outcomes have achieved indicators of success. This is proven by the student learning completion score in cycle I, namely 66.67% or sufficient category (C) and an increase in the learning completeness score in cycle II, namely 81.25% or good category (B). The conclusion of this research is that the POE learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes for fifth grade students at SD Inpres 12/79 Seberang, Lamuru District, Bone Regency.
