PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THE POWER OF TWO UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS V SD

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to find out how to apply the power of two type cooperative learning model to improve social studies learning outcomes. Data collection techniques use observation and tests. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The conclusion results show that the percentage of teacher activity in cycle I, meeting 1, was 61.90% with the sufficient category (C) and meeting 2 reached 85.71% with the good category (B). Meanwhile, the percentage in cycle II, meeting 1, was 90.47% with a good category (B), and meeting 2 reached 95.23% with a good category (B). The percentage of student activity in cycle I, meeting 1, was 57.14% with the sufficient category (C) and meeting 2 was 76.19% with the good category (B). Meanwhile, the percentage in cycle II, meeting 1, was 90.47% with a good category (B) and meeting 2 reached 95.23% with a good category (B). From the results of the student evaluation test in cycle I, 13 out of 22 students were in the complete category with an average score of 63 with a learning completeness percentage reaching 59.09% in the sufficient category (C). The results of the second cycle student evaluation test showed that 19 out of 22 students achieved a pass mark with an average score of 68, with a pass percentage of 86.36% in the good category (B). It can be concluded that the power of two type cooperative learning model can improve students' social studies learning outcomes.
