Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan squat dan single-leg squat terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan pada atlet Pencak Silat FIKK UNM. Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen dengan model one group pre-test and post-test design yang melibatkan 20 atlet putra yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria tertentu. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah Balance Test untuk mengukur kemampuan keseimbangan statis dan dinamis sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Program latihan dilaksanakan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali per minggu, terdiri atas variasi squat dan single-leg squat yang disusun berdasarkan prinsip progressive overload. Hasil analisis data menggunakan paired sample t-test menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil post-test dibandingkan dengan pre-test (p < 0,05). Nilai rata-rata keseimbangan meningkat dari 26.85 menjadi 47.70 setelah perlakuan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan squat dan single-leg squat efektif meningkatkan kemampuan keseimbangan atlet Pencak Silat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa latihan squat dan single-leg squat dapat dijadikan bagian dari program latihan rutin untuk meningkatkan performa keseimbangan atlet Pencak Silat.
