Abstract

The type of research used in this research process is descriptive. In this case, it is carried out on respondents who have been previously determined to determine the interest in petanque sports in students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar, with the research method it will be able to provide arguments, postulates or proportions that underlie each step of the process that is usually taken in research activities. The population in this study were students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar, the population of students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar was determined by Random Sampling. The sample that will be taken in this study is students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar who have never participated in the socialization of Petanque sports. Sampling and this research used random sampling with a total of 60. The results of this study are intended to describe the data, namely the interest in petanque sports in students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar. Interest in petanque sports in students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar was measured using an observation sheet. Based on the results of the study and its discussion, it can be concluded that the Interest in Petanque Sports in Students of SMA Negeri 4 Takalar is 53% and is included in the moderate category.
