Pengembangan Program Concurrent Training Berbasis Periodisasi untuk Peningkatan Kekuatan, Daya Tahan, dan Komposisi Tubuh Mahasiswa PJKR

Abstract

Concurrent training yang mengombinasikan latihan kekuatan dan daya tahan secara bersamaan telah berkembang sebagai pendekatan efisien dalam peningkatan kebugaran fisik secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas program concurrent training berbasis periodisasi terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot, daya tahan kardiorespirasi, dan komposisi tubuh pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani, Kesehatan, dan Rekreasi (PJKR). Penelitian menggunakan desain eksperimen semu (quasi-experimental) dengan rancangan pretest-posttest control group design selama 12 minggu. Sebanyak 48 mahasiswa dipilih secara purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen (n=24) yang menjalani program concurrent training berbasis periodisasi linier dan kelompok kontrol (n=24) yang menjalani program latihan konvensional. Variabel kekuatan otot diukur menggunakan 1-Repetition Maximum (1RM), daya tahan kardiorespirasi menggunakan VO2max (bleep test), dan komposisi tubuh menggunakan pengukuran persentase lemak tubuh (skinfold caliper) serta indeks massa tubuh (IMT). Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kelompok kontrol pada seluruh variabel yang diukur (p<0,05). Program concurrent training berbasis periodisasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kekuatan otot (18,7%), VO2max (12,4%), dan menurunkan persentase lemak tubuh (9,3%) secara bersamaan. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi praktis bagi pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan jasmani berbasis bukti ilmiah.
