Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Ludo Mathematics media on the addition calculation skills of second-grade students at SDIT Al-Hikmah Maros. This study employed a 4D development model consisting of the define, design, and develop stages. The research subjects were second-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that students had a very high interest in media-based learning, with 100% of students preferring learning activities involving images, videos, and games. A total of 86% of students demonstrated good learning motivation, and 73% stated that they found it easier to understand the material when using interactive media. However, students’ calculation skills were still uneven, as some students experienced difficulties in understanding the concept of addition more deeply. The use of Ludo Mathematics media proved to increase student engagement, create a more enjoyable learning environment, and help students understand addition concepts more concretely. Therefore, game-based learning media can be an effective alternative to improve elementary students’ numeracy skills.
