Pengaruh Latihan Squat Terhadap Kemampuan Lay Up Shoot Basket Di Sma 3 Gowa

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan squat terhadap kemampuan lay up shoot basket pada siswa SMA Negeri 3 Gowa. Lay up shoot merupakan salah satu teknik dasar terpenting dalam permainan bola basket yang memerlukan kekuatan otot tungkai yang optimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test control group design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri 3 Gowa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler basket berjumlah 40 orang, dengan sampel 20 orang yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol masing-masing 10 orang. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan latihan squat selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali seminggu, sedangkan kelompok kontrol melakukan latihan konvensional. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes lay up shoot dengan mengukur akurasi dan kecepatan eksekusi gerakan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan kemampuan lay up shoot pada kelompok eksperimen dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test 6,2 menjadi 8,7 pada post-test, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menunjukkan peningkatan yang tidak signifikan dari 6,1 menjadi 6,5. Analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai t hitung sebesar 4,82 yang lebih besar dari t tabel 2,101, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan squat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan lay up shoot basket. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengintegrasian latihan squat dalam program latihan basket untuk meningkatkan performa lay up shoot siswa.
